Frequently

Q:
Is it okay to apply more than one Mobu Herb-dicinal
Balm at the same time, or is it necessary to wait and use them separately?
A:
Since each of the Balms has a different and specific purpose, there
is no problem or negative reaction if you mix and match. For instance:
you could rub our X-tracting Balm on a pimple, sore, rash or other
skin abnormality - then apply the S.O.S. Balm for dry hands and other
chapped skin. Another example: you could use the Vitality Balm on
pulse points for energy and overall immune system revitalizing, then
apply the Women's 35+ on inner thighs and breasts for hormonal rebalancing.
You could even use the E-Z Lax rubbed onto the abdomen along with
the other two Balms, if also experiencing constipation.
Q:
How often throughout the day is it safe to apply
Mobu Herb-dicinal Balms?
A:
Although our Herb-dicinal Balms are completely safe and non-toxic,
common sense is always a good guideline. Herbs afterall, have natural
medicinal properties which is what makes them so effective. The rule
of thumb for all therapeutic remedies (both natural and conventional),
is that "more is not always better!" Therefore, it is suggested that
you adhere to the recommendations on the product label. Waiting approximately
4 hours between applications is a sensible dosage. AM Pain Balm may
be applied in shorter intervals as needed, when dealing with a painful
injury. Please exercise caution when choosing the appropriate timing
to apply the PM Pain Balm and the KavaCalm, as both of these formulations
contain calming, relaxing herbs that may make you drowsy.
Q:
What is the difference between Mobu's X-tracting
Balm verses a similar formulation on the market known as Black Salve?
A:
X-tracting Balm gently pulls impurities from the body. We have heard
from many of our customers that the Black Salve can be quite harsh,
resulting in severe skin damage. Mobu's X-tracting Balm is much more
gentle and healing to the skin, yet is equally as effective. Even
though we use the potent detoxifiers Bloodroot and Chaparral (the
same as the Black Salve), that's where the similarity ends! We are
proud to say that our ingredients are entirely organic and wildcrafted,
and also include powerful antibiotic compounds such as Golden Seal,
Echinacea, Burdock and Tea Tree Oil, that work synergistically, assisting
in the overall healing process. X-tracting Balm is also an excellent
formula for severe acne, bug bites, stings, open sores, etc.
Q:
Do any of Mobu's Herb-dicinal Balms contain
sunscreen?
A:
This is something that we feel very passionately against! We do not
add sunscreen of any kind to our products. In addition to the fact
that sunscreen ingredients are not organic and actually quite toxic
to the body - always remember that our skin is our largest, most absorbent
organ and what we put on our skin should be equally as important as
what we put in our bodies. A good rule of thumb is, "would you feel
comfortable eating each and every ingredient contained in your skincare
products" - because in essence, that is precisely what you are doing!
Q:
How long does it take for E-Z Lax to start working?
A:
Of course, each person's body is unique, but most people begin experiencing
results within the hour. Be sure you rub the E-Z Lax Balm into palms
first (to be absorbed by the nerve endings there) and then apply liberally
onto abdomen area. If no results within 4 hours, repeat application.

Q:
What is the method of action that makes the
Mobu Herb-dicinal Balms so effective?
A:
Mobu's Herb-dicinal Balms utilize our proprietary Penetrating Dermal
Infusions (PDI™) delivery system to promote rapid, complete absorption
of the healing herbs directly into the body without the necessity
of the rough transit through the digestive tract and liver (liver
metabolism can reduce the bio-availability of the active ingredients
by 80-90%.) Mobu's unique PDI delivery system incorporates a double
steam-distillation process that allows the herbs to synergize for
up to a week, resulting in super-penetrating transdermal infusions.
Q:
Do the Gourmet Lip Balms contain flavorings?
A:
No! We are proud to say that the exotic scents and flavor varieties
of our Gourmet Lip Balms are made ONLY with organic essential oils!
No flavorings (natural or artificial) are ever used in our products.
In addition, the ingredients in our Gourmet Lip Balms are 100% organic,
and never contain potentially toxic methyl solicylate (wintergreen).
Q: What is the
full definition of "transdermal" and why it is such an effective delivery
system?
A:
If you were to breakdown the word "transdermal" into two separate
words, it could be literally defined as "transport" through the "skin".
Dating back 5,000 years to the origins of Homeopathy, till the early
part of the 20th Century, a proven method for transporting healing
compounds directly into the bloodstream was "transdermally". This
efficient, effective, fast acting method has once again risen to the
forefront of modern-day science in a multitude of pharmaceutical applications,
as well as topical skin patches for weight loss, quitting smoking,
birth control, etc. Transdermal delivery systems avoid many inherent
variables associated with oral alternatives including fluctuating
transit times through the body, interaction with digestive fluids,
in addition to overall side effects.
Q:
Would Mobu Herb-dicinal Balms be classified
as "Aromatherapy"?
A: "Aromatherapy" is typically defined as "a holistic treatment
based on the external use of concentrated essential plant oils, with
purported healing properties that promote physical, psychological,
and spiritual wellbeing." According to this standard definition, Mobu
Herb-dicinal Balms could indeed be considered as aroma-therapeutic,
since we do incorporate some aromatherapy oils into our formulations
for their supportive healing applications. However, we've taken this
timeless, proven science many levels further by synergizing whole
herbs for up to a week in organic olive and organic coconut oils,
along with the aromatherapy oils, thereby creating an enhanced formulation
that rapidly transports these Herb-dicinal plant compounds directly
into the bloodstream where they are most effective. Q:
What was the inspiration for the Mobu Herb-dicinal
formulations and unique PDI delivery system?
A:
Real life events are always the most potent catalyst for creative
endeavors. All of Mobu's formulations were developed by Janell Cole,
Naturopathic Doctor and Master Herbalist in response to the many diverse
health conditions she has encountered through patients in her practice,
many of whom were unable to properly assimilate the herbal remedies
she recommended in oral form. Janell's extensive background in both
naturopathic healing and herbology provided the experience necessary
to successfully develop the perfect solution ~ topical application
of the healing compounds through the skin. Today, after many years
of proven results with her patients, the Mobu Herb-dicinal Balms are
now available to the public. |
